Some confusion in wives. Tom Lini says that Marcus married Anna, then Elisabeth Mosbrucker
Historical Review of Richardton N. D. has a Markus Gress arriving from Russia in 1892 (same year as Petrus). It says he worked on the railroad for a short time, then later homesteaded 6 mi N of Richardton (where his 1 of his 5 sons now farms). In 1895 he married Monica Schnell, who also came from Russia in '92. They had 13 children, one dying in infancy. 5 sons and 7 daughters all are married and have families. 73 grand children and 59 great grand children.
