"This is a true story that took place in the year 1911 on the Pangborn Road. When a neighbor had a building project everyone would lend a hand. This project was a large barn and it is still standing today. The men put up the framework and a very severe windstorm blew it all down. So nothing to do but put it up again. Another very bad windstorm came along and knocked that down. The third time was a charm and it was completed. This is a true story because my Mother was helping in the kitchen to feed the men. I was one year old. It is the George Rothfus barn." |
